Terms of Use

MacroCNX is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). The terms below add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA wins on anything it covers.
1. Who can use MacroCNX
You must be at least 18 years old. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for what happens on your account.
2. Not medical advice
MacroCNX gives general nutrition information and estimates for healthy adults. It isn't medical advice, and it doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It isn't a substitute for a doctor, registered dietitian or other health professional.
Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, kidney or liver disease, an eating disorder or a history of one, or another medical condition, or take medication that affects appetite, weight or blood sugar. If you feel unwell, stop and get medical help. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. Estimates and AI suggestions
Targets, nutrition values, food costs and leftover "use by" dates are estimates and can be wrong. Nutrition data comes from sources such as USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts and from what you enter.
AI Chef recipes are generated by an AI model and are suggestions only. Always check ingredients and labels against your allergies and food rules yourself, and use safe food-handling and cooking practices.
4. MacroCNX Pro subscriptions
- MacroCNX Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual). The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy and in the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends if your plan includes one.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If you start a free trial and subscribe or cancel before it ends, any unused part of the trial is forfeited where Apple's rules say so.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
5. Free tier and ads
The free version includes usage limits (for example, a number of AI recipes per week) and may show ads. We may change free-tier limits and features. We'll tell you in the app before changes to anything you've paid for.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse MacroCNX: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, get around usage limits, access other people's data, or use it for anything illegal.
7. Your content and data
You keep ownership of what you enter. You give us permission to store and process it to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data or delete your account in the app at any time.
8. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. For material changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. You can stop using MacroCNX and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, MacroCNX is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates or suggestions in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded where you live.
