Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MacroCNX and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also open it from MacroCNX: Profile → Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.

I paid but don't have Pro.

Open Profile → Restore purchases while signed in to the same MacroCNX account and Apple ID you used to subscribe. If that doesn't help, email us.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. Your data is deleted from our servers right away. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that first. If you can't sign in, email us from the address on the account and we'll delete it for you.

How do I get a copy of my data?

In the app: Profile → Export my data. You get a JSON file with everything we store about you.

I didn't get the confirmation email.

Check your spam folder, and open the email on your iPhone so the link opens the app. Still nothing after a few minutes? Email us.

How are my targets calculated?

In the app: Profile → How we calculated this shows each step, the equations used and their sources. Targets are estimates for healthy adults and aren't medical advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication that affects appetite, weight or blood sugar, check with your doctor or a registered dietitian.

Why do I see ads?

The free version shows a small number of ads: one card labeled "Sponsored", and an optional video you can watch for an extra AI recipe. Ads aren't personalized and receive none of your health or food data. Pro removes all ads. In the UK, you can change your ad privacy choices any time in Profile → Ad privacy choices.
